Easy to Clean – Corian work tops have a non-porous surface that prevents dirt and stains from penetrating the material. Marks can be easily removed using regular household cleaners.

Durable – Corian work surfaces keep their good looks and survive the impacts, nicks and cuts that can occur with daily use in a kitchen, laundry or bathroom.

Tough – Corian does not delaminate, the joints are inconspicuous and impervious to fluids.

Non-Porous – Corian is non porous and hygienic. The smooth surface does not allow liquids to penetrate which makes it easy to clean. Bacteria and mould have no place to take root and multiply.

Seamless – Colour co-ordinated Corian Joint Adhesive bonds Corian solid surfaces together with inconspicuous seams, meaning there are no crevices to trap dirt and bacteria.

Repairable – Corian surfaces are renewable, which means that chips and scratches are easily repaired returning the work top back to an "as new" surface.

Corian solid surface was created for a lifetime of easy care. Just follow the  simple Corian guidelines to help you keep your Corian worktops surfaces looking beautiful and at their best.

Hygiene and disinfection

Cleaning of frequently touched surfaces such as kitchen worktops, tables, light switches, doorknobs, handles and walls is a significant way of helping to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Use of regular household cleaners in conjunction with appropriate disinfecting techniques can help reduce any spread.

Since Corian Worktops and Solid surfaces are non-porous surface, it allows for easier cleaning, disinfecting and decontamination protocols. Corian seams bond the two Corian pieces together so closely that they provide a continuous and smooth surface without grooves or grout lines that can harbour viral contamination.

The video below shows how quick and efficient it can be to clean a Corian® Solid Surface with common diluted household bleach.

Everyday cleaning

Although liquids cannot penetrate Corian Worktops, it is best to wipe up any spills as they occur. Generally, a damp microfibre cloth used with a standard household kitchen spray, such as Mr. Muscle or Cif should remove most stains. Always clean in a circular motion.

Once or twice a week, give your sink a a good clean: Remove all the fat and oil residues of normal food preparation from the sink, using a detergent or a hard-surface cleaner. Use a spray with 3/4 of liquid household bleach and 1/4 water to spray the sink and leave a few hours or overnight.
The exposure time should be limited to 16hrs. In the morning, rinse or clean with a damp cloth. The sink should then be beautifully clean, with very little effort.

Dealing with resistant strains
Common household spills, such as coffee, tea, vinegar, lemon juice, dyes, ketchup, red wine or vegetable spills: Refer to the table in the Corian use and care guidelines on specific stains.

Hard water can be a problem in many areas, and can build up over time. If you live in a hard water area, and are experiencing problems with stain removal, apply “Viakal” gel over the area, leave for 2-4 minutes, then remove with a damp microfibre cloth. Using a second clean microfibre cloth, rinse the area thoroughly with water.

Use a damp microfiber cloth and a mild abrasive cleaning product.
